Come in Person to the Vital Records office in Portland, at 800 NE Oregon Street, Room 205, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The order counter closes at 4:45 p.m. The average wait time to receive a record is 15-20 minutes. Expect longer wait times of 30-45 minutes Mondays and Fridays and daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Orders need to be placed by 4:30 p.m. to receive them the same day. Identification such as a current and valid driver's license or I.D. card is required for all record orders. If you do not have a valid current and valid ID please review the list of alternative documents that will be accepted or have another eligible family member order the record on your behalf. Please be sure that the person who comes to the office to order the record is eligible to request it. The non-refundable fee is $20 and every additional copy of the same record ordered at the same time is $15. Payment by check, cash or money order ONLY. An ATM is available in the building.
