The State of Oregon’s web based birth and death registration system is called OVERS, which stands for Oregon Vital Events Registration System. Since OVERS is a web-based application it does not require the installation of standalone software for the purpose of accessing or completing vital records.
Most modern business computers should meet the minimum system requirements without further modification.
Minimum requirements for using OVERS to report birth and death information:
· A high-speed internet connection
· Microsoft Windows: 2000 with Service Pack 2 or higher; (MacIntosh computers will require hardware emulation virtualization software)
· Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.x or higher
· Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 or higher
There are Additional Requirements for those who will be signing Vital Records within OVERS.
