The Acute and Communicable Disease Prevention Program gathers information that provided by veterinary laboratories to track diseases that are transmitted from animals to humans.
Reports include zoonotic diseases such as rabies, leptospirosis campylobacteriosis, parasites and tick-borne diseases .
Veterinarians also are welcomed to complete the reporting form for zoonotic diseases and diseases of veterinary importance (pdf) diagnosed in clinical practice
