Colorado Tick Fever (CTF) is also known as Mountain Fever or American Mountain Fever. The virus is spread to humans by bites from infected ticks. Symptoms include a sudden fever, headache, muscle pain and chills. CTF can be a severe illness, especially in children under 10 and older adults.
