Drinking Water Services (DWS) now offers an advanced course that is appropriate for operators who have completed the
basics course two or more times. Like the basics course, the advanced course is a free one-day course that meets the training requirement for recertification. However, this course covers new topics and operators use information from their own water systems to complete hands-on activities in class. For this reason, the advanced class is not offered as an online class. More information about the course can be found in the

Advanced courses run from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (PST). Class dates and locations are listed in the table below:
Registration
Registration for the advanced course is handled by the DWS Springfield office. To register, contact Drue Edney at 541-726-2587, ext. 25, or
drue.edney@state.or.us, or submit the registration form provided in the Course Schedule table, above. Class size is limited.

Course Credit & Certification
Upon course completion, attendees receive 0.6 Continuing Education Units (CEUs). This class also meets the training requirements for
Small Water System Operator Certification.
At the completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of attendance. For small water system certification, please attach a photocopy of the certificate of attendance to the
Small Water System Operator application (pdf), complete the application, and mail to the address listed on the application form.
