Recreation 

Oregon is known for attracting people to a wide variety of recreational opportunities. Whether its swimming, surfing, fishing or some other outdoor play, you’ll want to be aware of any current health alerts and advisories. These advisories range from beach bacteria to harmful algae blooms to fishing alerts, as well as rules and information related to pool and lodging.

Oregon's Beach Monitoring Program helps protect people who play in the coastal waters. The program does regular water testing to look for high levels of bacteria and lets visitors know when there is a health concern.
