Hospital Hearing Screening Coordinator Training Materials

Dear Hospital Newborn Hearing Screening Coordinator,
According to the National Center for Hearing Assessment and Management, 33 infants a day are born in the United States with permanent hearing loss. No other disability has a more profound impact on the infants ability to connect with the world than hearing loss.

The work that you do and the protocol you implement at your hospital has a profound impact on the ability to detect hearing loss during the critical window of opportunity when children learn fundamental language, social and cognitive skills.  We hope this resource will be useful to you and your staff and we would be happy to hear any feedback or suggestions about other resources you might find useful to supplement your program.

Thank you,
Bridget Roemmich
EHDI Program Coordinator
