Workgroups
On March 17th, 2010, public health home visiting nurses, supervisors and county administrators met to review a recommended framework for a proposed Public Health Prenatal Home Visiting Model. The recommended framework was informed by input from local public health leaders, analysis of Oregon’s population data, a review of home visiting literature, and a projection of estimated resources and opportunities to support the work.
At this meeting, four workgroups composed of state and local representation were formed to tackle broad planning charges. These workgroups are:
Following the passage of Health Reform legislation, a fifth inter-agency workgroup was formed to provide oversight and recommendations for the mandated home visiting needs assessment.
