We are proud to announce that Marsha Brantley was presented with the 2012 Joan Helmich Educator of the Year Award at the 2012 RH Conference in Portland last week. Since 2006, Cardea has honored an outstanding educator currently working in Region X (Alaska, Idaho, Oregon or Washington) who has shown leadership, creativity or vision in improving education and programs related to sexual health. Marsha has demonstrated all of this and more over her 25-year career. She has been an invaluable team member as the Oregon Reproductive Health Program/Title X Family Planning Health Educator for the past 11 years. Her nomination speaks to her passion and contributions to health education in general, and reproductive and sexual health in particular.
