Actively growing isolated organism, in pure culture, on an agar slant or plated media.

Handling
Seal plate or tube, place in biohazard bag; keep at room temperature or refrigerate.  Do not freeze, avoid extreme heat.  Submit specimen according to Infectious Substance Shipping Guidelines.

Room temperature or wet ice
Rejection Criteria
Broken or leaking containers, unlabeled specimens, or specimens with incomplete requisition forms will not be processed.
Comments
