The Oregon Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI) program is committed to understanding and preventing infections associated with healthcare settings. Our activities include public reporting of selected infections and associated medical procedures, validation of publically reported data, multi-hospital collaboratives to prevent HAIs, surveillance and response for certain rare multi-drug resistant organisms (MDROs), and special studies under the Emerging Infections Program.

The Healthcare Associated Infections Program is part of the Acute and Communicable Disease Prevention Program in the Center for Public Health Practice.
