Performance Management Program | StaffAbout UsThe Performance Management Program works to promote and protect the health of the public by advancing the quality, performance and equity of the Oregon public health system, which includes state, local, and tribal public health departments and public-private partnerships.
The Performance Management Program is part of the Office of the State Public Health Director. Read More The Oregon Public Health Division received funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Support, as part of the National Public Health Improvement Initiative (NPHII) to systematically increase the capacity of public health departments to conduct highly coordinated interventions to improve and/or sustain the performance (i.e. effectiveness) of interdependent public health systems, practices and essential services.

The Performance Management Program goals are:
Quality
Promote a culture of continuous improvement in the public health system.
- Provide technical assistance to public health system partners to improve services.
- Support use of data to inform public health decision making.
Performance
Enhance the public health system’s capacity to provide efficient and effective services.
- Fund accreditationreadiness projects at local public health departments.
- Develop and disseminate tool(s) to access, analyze and display data.
Partnerships
Strengthen public health system partnerships and the public’s understanding of the importance of public health.
- Assess public health system communication and share improvement results.
- Build cross-jurisdictional collaboration between public health and emerging partners (e.g. land use planning, transportation, education).
