The Center for Health Statistics (CHS) is responsible for compiling and analyzing the statistical data that is collected from vital records. This data is used throughout the state and nation for program planning and policy development. This data is also used as the primary source for measuring many Oregon Benchmarks, Department of Human Services Outcomes and Performance Measures as well as the Healthy People 2010 Objectives.
CHS provides
vital statistics data for birth, death, divorce, domestic partnership, fetal death, induced abortion, marriage, teen pregnancy, and teen suicide - occurring to Oregon residents.
