Harmful Algae Bloom Surveillance Program
We are working to gain a better understanding about the occurrence of toxic algae blooms in Oregon, and we advise the public when a bloom has been detected so people can take protective action to avoid illness.
Hazardous Substances Incident Surveillance Program
Hazardous Substances Incident Surveillance (HSIS) system's function is to identify and describe any potential health effects associated with releases of hazardous substances.

Health Impact Assessment provides decision-makers with information about how any policy, program or project may affect the health of people.
Lead Poisoning Prevention Program
These programs are working to eliminate lead poisoning in Oregon: Adult Blood Lead Epidemiology and Surveillance, Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention and Lead-Based Paint Programs.
Occupational Public Health Program
Our mission is to identify and prevent work-related illnesses, injuries and deaths and to promote health and safety of all Oregon workers.
Oregon Beach Monitoring Program
The Oregon Beach Monitoring Program monitors the waters along Oregon's coastline for the presence of fecal bacteria, and reports elevated levels to the public.
Oregon Drinking Water Program
The Oregon Drinking Water Program administers and enforces drinking water quality standards for public water systems in the State of Oregon.
Pesticide Exposure, Safety and Tracking (PEST)
We track and conduct investigations of health effects reported by people exposed to pesticides. These reports help us to identify trends in acute pesticide poisonings and emerging pesticide hazards and guide education and outreach efforts for prevention.
Public Pool and Tourist Facility Program
This program has a long history of setting standards for public swimming pools and spas to control potential disease transmission and eliminate injuries and accidents.
Radiation Protection Services
Our mission is to promote the health and safety of the people in Oregon by protecting them from unnecessary radiation exposure.
Radon Program
The Oregon Radon Program provides technical assistance to the public regarding radon. The level of radon exposure in homes, schools, and other buildings can be determined through a simple test; testing for radon is easy, inexpensive, and effective.
Research and Education Services
Research and Education Services consists of programs that focus on the identification, assessment and prevention of occupational and environmental illnesses and injuries affecting Oregonians.
