DESCHUTES COUNTY – Nurse – Corrections – Bend, OR
This position performs professional nursing duties in a correctional facility. Incumbent is responsible for physical assessments, verification of medication and treatment, TB testing, documentation of medical care, scheduling and conducting sick calls. Duties include communicating with medical, mental health, and public health communities, alcohol and or drug detoxification, administering medications, scheduling out-of-facility physician and dental appointments, maintaining statistics, and resolving medical bills.  Deschutes County only accepts online applications.

Shifts may vary. May be required to work 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

HARNEY COUNTY –Registered Nurse – Part-time – Harney County Public Health – Burns, OR
    This is a part-time position (22-24 hours per week), but may become full-time in the future.  The position performs a variety of public health nursing duties to provide health/wellness services to educate the community about health related issues. The position requires thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, and ethics underlying the practice of professional nursing, practices of delivering skilled nursing care without direct supervision; team methods to patient care.  Person hired must possess State of Oregon Registered Nurse license and a valid driver’s license.

    LANE COUNTY – Community Health Nurse 2 – Public Health/Maternal Child Health – Eugene, OR
    The position will work in the Public Health/Maternal Child Health Nurse Family Partnership home visiting program providing education and support to first time pregnant women throughout the pregnancy and until the baby’s second birthday.   
    Bachelors of Science in Nursing, experience in maternal/child health services and bilingual in Spanish are preferred but not required.

    MULTNOMAH COUNTY – Community Health Nurse – Healthy Birth Initiatives – Multnomah County Health Department – Portland, OR
    The HBI CHN provides services to pregnant and parenting families primarily within the African American community, including comprehensive prenatal, post partum, and child health assessments. They collect family data to assist in identifying biophyschosocial needs which impacts optimum health. Screenings are provided to identify developmental problems. Based on information collected, a plan is made with the family to improve health outcomes. The CHN advocates for the client and family to improve access to resources and health care. Interventions include screening, health teaching, care management, advocacy and counseling. The CHN also communicates and coordinates care with other agencies and providers as appropriate. Services may be provided to individuals or to groups.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA): African American Community Focus (testing will be required).
