The ECHO Preparedness 2015 Summit (October 8-9) aimed to provide tools, resources and inspiration to advance health and medical emergency preparedness, response, recovery and resilience to help better prepare Oregonians for a disaster.

There was no cost to attend. PHEP grantees may use their grant funds to cover travel and lodging expenses. All others are eligible to apply for a limited number of scholarships through their Regional Healthcare Preparedness Liaison.


Target Audience

Public health professionals, healthcare and hospital preparedness coordinators, emergency managers, emergency medical services, and other health and medical preparedness partners are encouraged to attend. PHEP grantees are required to have at least one attendee.


Pre-conference

The pre-conference began at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 7, 2015  Sessions confirmed to date include:

  • Fundamentals of HPP and Healthcare Emergency Management
  • Fundamentals of PHEP and PHEP Coordinator positions 

Lodging

The Riverhouse Hotel and Convention Center honored the per diem rate for reservations made before September 8, 2015. To reserve a room, please call (541) 389-3111 and reference the ECHO Preparedness Summit.


Meal Information

Lunch was provided Thursday, October 8 only. Other meals were on own. Coffee, tea, and water were available through the conference. There is a restaurant on site at the hotel, and a number of local eateries are available within a short driving distance.
