Oregon’s Health Security, Preparedness and Response (HSPR) develops plans and procedures to better prepare Oregonians to prepare, mitigate, respond and recover from all public health emergencies.
Health Security, Preparedness and Response capacity is improved by ensuring coordination among tribes, local, state and federal agencies - including health care partners - before, during and after an emergency.
Local and state public health authorities have always played important roles in all phases of the emergency management system, including: preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery.
