Portland Metro Area

The Coast

Oregon's coast is filled with picturesque forests, sand dunes, and islands ready to be explored! Scenic beach towns and state parks are scattered along the edges, and all coast lands are public land. Central Oregon

Ancient volcanic peaks welcome you to sunny Central Oregon which boasts at least 300 sunny days a year. The mountains strewn through the area provide skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer offering the best outdoor recreation in any season. A breathtaking place unlike anywhere else in the USA. The gorge has unique ecosystems with rich biodiversity including 44 species of fish and more than 200 species of birds. The gorge extends 4,000 feet deep and the canyon is over 80 miles long with the Columbia River running through as the border between the state of Washington to the north and Oregon to the south. Also home of the windsurfing capital of the world.

Eastern Oregon

Geographically diverse and expansive, Eastern Oregon is home to mountains, rivers, deserts. Whether you're hiking in through the Wallowas mountain range, learning about the prehistoric past of Oregon at the John Day Fossil Beds, or exploring the John Day River, discovering the many wonders of this region will keep you busy. Southern Oregon

Southern Oregon offers a wide range of activities and culture. You'll never be far from adventure with plenty of opportunities for skiing, water sports, mountain biking, rafting, and hiking in the nearby mountains and Rogue River Valley. Explore Crater Lake National Park, home to the deepest lake in the United States. In addition to incredible outdoors activities, Southern Oregon boasts cultural opportunities as well, including the renowned and Tony-Award Winning annual Shakespeare festival and the Oregon Caves National Monument.
