PHD Programs Addressing Obesity

Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention (HPCDP)

HPCDP addresses obesity, physical inactivity and poor nutrition as major drivers of leading chronic diseases like heart disease and stroke, diabetes and some cancers.

HPCDP does this by working to make the places where we live, work, learn and play healthier. Changes in policies and practices help these become places where the default choice is a healthy one, and people are protected from unhealthy ones.
