COVID-19 Therapeutics

With the commercialization of COVID-19 therapeutics/treatments, the U.S. government (USG) has stopped providing Paxlovid and Lagevrio at no cost to all providers. COVID-19 Therapeutics Transition Guide

USG-distributed supply should be dispensed to patients until depletion or expiration, whichever comes first, and for no charge.

Paxlovid and Lagevrio
  • USG-procured Paxlovid continues to be available to several federal entities (Health Resources and Services Administration [HRSA], Indian Health Services, Veterans Administration, Department of Defense, and others), through Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response Health Partner Ordering Portal (HPOP) until the USG supply is depleted.
Data Reporting:
  • Providers are required to report and update inventory, administration/dispensing, and disposal (including returns) data until the provider’s USG product inventory is fully reconciled.
Expired Products:
  • Any expired product should be disposed of through the manufacturer’s return process or on-site in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

COVID-19 Treatment Patient Assistance Programs
Pfizer is supporting patients prescribed Paxlovid in two ways:

  • Medicare, Medicaid, and uninsured patients will continue to receive Paxlovid at no charge through December 2024. Eligible patients can get the voucher from Pfizer by calling 877-219-7225 or going to Paxlovid assistance. You will get a voucher from Pizer that you can give to a participating pharmacy.
  • Pfizer is also operating a Paxlovid Co-Pay Savings Program for eligible privately (commercially) insured patients.

The Merck Patient Assistance Program (a 501c3 non-profit organization) provides Lagevrio free of charge to patients who meet its eligibility criteria and who, without assistance, could not otherwise afford the product. This product is ONLY available through an URGENT NEED request. Your Health Care Provider must call 800-727-5400 and tell the program representative that they are making an Urgent Need Request for LAGEVRIO. The program representative will provide necessary instructions. Your Health Care Provider must follow the program representative's instructions to make your request.

Vaccinations for Ukrainians Entering Oregon

With a significant portion of the population of Ukraine displaced, there is concern about the potential for vaccine-preventable disease in people seeking refuge. All the recommended vaccines are listed by age in our catch-up document. Anyone in this population under age 19 is VFC-eligible and adults can receive the recommended vaccines at any of our public, Vaccine Access Providers.
