The curriculum will use both lecture and interactive to provide:

  • an overview of influenza
  • examine State and National efforts to prevent influenza
  • Vaccine storage and handling
  • ALERT IIS (Immunization Information System)
  • Influenza vaccine manufacture overview
  • Healthcare worker influenza vaccine legislation update
The intended audience includes all immunization providers, public health staff, employee health specialists, infection control specialists, hospital administrators, health educators, medical assistants, nursing home and long-term care administrators, tribal health, health professional students, immunizing pharmacists, hospital pharmacists, and other immunization stakeholders.
