Qualifications:

Coos County – Public Health Educator, Public Health Preparedness Coordinator – Coos County Public Health– North Bend, OR

Under the direction of the Public Health Administrator, or her designee, this position coordinates, plans, implements, and evaluates the Public Health Preparedness (PHP) for the Coos County Public Health Department.  Serves as lead worker and coordinates other staff and volunteers in their duties specific to the PHP program. Recruits and maintains the Medical Reserve Corps.  Position requires considerable independent judgment, strong communication and program planning skills.

Qualifications:

This position… provides psychiatric nursing services and advanced professional health care under the supervision of a physician, including but not limited to, performing comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnosis, prescribing psychotropic medications to inmates with psychiatric and or substance abuse disorders, determining the medical necessity of proposed mental health services, and working collaboratively with other licensed health care practitioners.  Position will supervise, coordinate and prioritize work activities of staff, including coordinating quarterly meetings with jail physician. Counsels clients on the effects and side effects of medications, and collects and records documented information. Serves as a member of the therapy team. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:  
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner: Master's degree in nursing. One year of responsible psychiatric nurse practitioner experience preferred.

Nurse Practitioner:  Bachelor's of Science degree and be a registered nurse who is fully trained and accredited as a Nurse Practitioner. Prescription privileges required. Must be registered in Oregon. Must demonstrate evidence of recent continuing education in field of specialty, psychiatric specialty preferred. Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent and relevant experience.

MULTNOMAH COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT IS SEEKING 3

NURSE DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANTS AT THE MULTNOMAH COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT.

 

These 3 positions will report to the Director of Nursing Practice with matrixed reporting to Human Resources. The position will assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs and training materials to address: quality nursing education and professional staff development; serve as subject matter experts and consultants to ensure consistent application of protocols, rules, and policies; provide nursing consultation and lead selected nursing-related quality improvement initiatives; and create and provide oversight for the development of online learning modules and other training materials. The Nursing Development Consultants will assist HR team and nursing supervisors assess technical/professional competency, recommend remedial actions, and address other performance issues of healthcare staff that affect service delivery and quality.

 

To qualify:

Licensure: The applicant needs to be licensed as an RN in Oregon. Education:  Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with

Master’s degree in Nursing or Public Health preferred.

 

Experience:  Three (3) years of community health nursing experience and two (2) years of performing in or assisting with professional nursing development/training services or programs.

MULTNOMAH COUNTY- Health Department is seeking to hire a .8 FTE Infection Control Preventionist Nurse.
 
 
Some of the responsibilities of this position will be to:
 
 
     Develop, implement, and monitor healthcare infection surveillance programs to prevent and minimize the occurrence of infections.
 
     Assess current infection control practices in Health Department clinics and guide compliance with current requirements from OSHA, JCAHO, CDC, and MCHD Administrative Guidelines.
 
     Implement and maintain best practice surveillance system for MCHD.
 
     Monitor Infection rates related to client procedures and client/staff exposure.
 
     Actively lead or participate in data analysis to identify and prioritize infection risks for MCHD clients and staff.

Relevant Work Experience:
