CLATSOP COUNTY – Family Planning Clinical Provider (Part-time) – Clatsop County Public Health – Astoria, OR

This position specializes in the health needs of family planning patients.  The family planning practitioner provides primary health care in the area of family planning, assuming the responsibility for the initiation and maintenance of patients in the family planning regime. The family planning clinician participates in an interdisciplinary approach to health care, being cognizant of and responsive to the experience of other disciplines and personnel involved with patient services.  The family planning clinician may also provide leadership in all aspects of the family planning program.  The family planning nurse practitioner collaborates with the health officer and follows protocols signed by a physician and ensures the provision of quality program services to clients served by the agency.

CLATSOP COUNTY – Environmental Health Specialist – Onsite Wastewater Program – Clatsop County Health Department– Astoria, OR
Applications are invited for the position of Environmental Health Specialist I – Onsite Wastewater Program to work approximately 30 hours per week.  Under the direction of the Environmental Health Supervisor this position will orient and train to perform a variety of investigative and survey duties of an introductory nature in the field of environmental health.  Skills are applied to different community/environmental settings determining the existence of conditions that could impact the public’s health.  The position enforces compliance to environmental health regulations, implements changes to eliminate hazards, issues licenses and permits, collects environmental samples, provides public education and other functions as assigned.

    UMATILLA COUNTY – Environmental Health Specialist I or II – Umatilla County Public Health – Pendleton, OR
    This position inspects restaurants, mobile food units and temporary restaurants to assure compliance with the laws and rules; instructs food handlers on proper food handling procedures and equipment maintenance; participates in food handler classes required for certifications; investigates complaints and disease outbreaks concerning food, water, animals, sewage disposal and communicable disease as required by law.  Inspects public swimming pools, spa pools, travelers’ accommodations, and recreation parks and campgrounds for compliance with state laws and regulations; prepares compliance schedules and assists in arranging for necessary improvements. Reviews plans for proposed food service establishments, swimming pools, spa pools, tourist and travelers accommodation and care facilities to assure compliance to rules. Inspects care facilities and schools for food service, water supplies, sewage disposal, solid waste practices, and general cleanliness and safety; arranges for necessary improvements. Maintains records of inspections and other activities; prepares reports and recommendations; completes reports for state as requested/required.
